Disaster Service Training
The Disaster Services will be holding a
Shelter Operations Class, June 16th, 2012 in the Morrow
County Chapter Office 10 AM to 2 PM, call 419 946 2811 to enroll.
Disaster Training is FREE, open to any one over the age of 16.
The Disaster Services Overview will start at 830 AM. The
Morrow County Chapter is located 37 West Center Street Mount Gilead,
Ohio.
The Shelter Operations class is
necessary for opening a shelter, it does require a larger number of
trained staff to cover the 24 hour operations. Trained
works could be asked if they could help in near by areas should a
shelter be opened. This training will allow deployment here at home
in the region, state or on National events.

to better assist the public with preparing for emergencies and
disasters. The American Red Cross is working with the
Department of Homeland Security to offer a single, consistent,
primary message for use by all emergency responding agencies.
