to better assist the public with preparing for emergencies and
disasters. The American Red Cross is working with the
Department of Homeland Security to offer a single, consistent,
primary message for use by all emergency responding agencies.
This alignment of information allows us
to have one national public preparedness messages.

We are looking for Disaster Action Team members,
to help in local and national disaster relief operations. If
you have some time to attend required disaster training, and have
time to travel around the Red Cross family in America, we need your
